This vegetable wax has similar burning properties to paraffin, but is plant-based (vegan), GMO-free, and produced in Germany. Our candles are hand-poured – minor variations and irregularities are evidence of this and are a mark of quality :) The material occasionally exhibits fine hairline cracks on the surface; this is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not affect the burning. To improve the melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is mixed with a small proportion of special chemical waxes – no paraffin is included.
