Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows throughout Europe. To improve melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is mixed with a small proportion of chemical specialty waxes - it contains no paraffin. For the initial burn, it's best to let the candle burn until the top wax pool has melted all the way to the edge.
