Green Tara is a powerful goddess who is known to us today from Tibetan Buddhism, but her origins lie in Hinduism and she is also revered there. The divine mother! Her name can be translated as star or savior. In Tibet, she is called Dölma, mother, and is revered as the mother of all Buddhas.
Also called "the green liberator", she stands for protection and compassion - protection from the eight kinds of fear, the obstacles on our path to enlightenment - and compassion for all beings. By the way, she is said to be particularly quick in fulfilling wishes (if they are not worldly :) and in protecting against dangers.
This is shown by her hand posture: her right hand is directed downwards in the gesture of wish-granting, her left hand shows the gesture of protection-granting. This is probably why she is a goddess who is invoked daily in Tibetan Buddhism. The color green in this case is symbolic of the element wind, which is why she can act so quickly :) The green also stands for healing, for the healing energy of Mother Earth.
