Green Tara is a powerful goddess known to us today from Tibetan Buddhism, but her origins are in Hinduism and she is also worshipped there. The divine mother! Her name can be translated as star or savior. In Tibet, she is called Dölma, Mother, and is revered as the mother of all Buddhas.
Also called "the green liberator", she stands for protection and compassion - protection from the eight types of fear, which are obstacles on our path to enlightenment - and compassion for all beings. Incidentally, she is said to be particularly swift in fulfilling wishes (if they are not worldly :) and in protecting against dangers.
This is shown by her hand posture: Her right hand is directed downwards in the gesture of granting wishes, her left hand shows the gesture of granting protection. This is probably why she is a goddess who is invoked daily in Tibetan Buddhism. In this case, the color green symbolically represents the element of wind, which is why she can act so quickly :) Green also stands for healing, for the healing energy of Mother Earth.
