Mother Mary... she is the Mother Goddess of Christianity. Mother Goddesses exist in all religions and (....very likely :) the Madonna of Christianity (= Mary) harks back to this primal female deity. The Mary candle is made from 100% beeswax and was handcrafted in our manufactory. We exclusively use beeswax from the German beekeeping circuit, for the welfare of bees and to support beekeeping as a traditional craft. All candles are hand-poured in our manufactory.
About beeswax:
Beeswax is a natural metabolic product of bees, which they use to build their combs. Beeswax candles are therefore a natural product that should be used consciously and carefully. Pay attention to the origin of the wax; that's the best way to support the cycle. If you value beekeeper's wax that doesn't come from just anywhere, then buy from us :)
A fine, whitish layer on our beeswax candles is a sign of quality and not a reason for complaint. This coating develops due to long storage and storage in cool rooms and is a sign that you have pure beeswax in your hands. If the candles warm up (in cozy homes :), the coating will disappear on its own. It can also be removed by gently rubbing with a fine cloth.
Candles work with the element of fire, never leave them burning unattended and only use fireproof candle holders. To burn in, it is best to let the candle burn until the upper wax pool has melted to the edge once. If the candle ever smokes, it is advisable to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the upper end, leaving at least 8 mm).
