A light for inner peace. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the syllable OM (in the phonetic translation from Sanskrit: AUM) is one of the most important spiritual symbols. Om is the primordial sound, the first vibration of creation, a mystical sound. Whoever comprehends it attains all wishes - so it is written in the Upanishads, the sacred texts of Indian (Vedic) mythology. A sign of spiritual power, self-experience, and the primal sound of all being.
During the Aum sound in meditation, the breath flows very slowly out of the mouth and the entire body is set into vibration. Although OM is the shortest, it is considered the most comprehensive and powerful mantra. In Buddhism, mantras of several words are often placed before this syllable to facilitate inner concentration.
We handcraft this special ritual candle in our Lichtbringer manufactory. The candle medallion is made of rapeseed wax and is decorated with the Om symbol on both sides of the candle. The natural white rapeseed wax candle is excellently suited for painting with commercially available candle paints. Since we mix the colors ourselves with recipe and intuition, the shade may vary slightly. Please also note that computer screens do not always reproduce colors faithfully.

About Rapeseed Wax:
Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows all over Europe. The vegetable wax has similar burning characteristics to paraffin, but is of plant origin (vegan), GMO-free, and produced in Germany. Our candles are hand-poured - minor deviations and imperfections bear witness to this and are a mark of quality :) The material occasionally exhibits fine hairline cracks in the surface, which is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not affect burning. To improve the melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is blended with a small proportion of special chemical waxes - no paraffin is included. This proportion is so small that most rapeseed wax candle manufacturers don't even mention it.
