Pan & Freya Ritual Candle Set - made from rapeseed wax

Pan and Freya are an impossible couple - because they come from very different mythologies. And yet their energies fit together very well.

Both stand in the neo-pagan tradition (which draws from the old stories) for spring and fertility, for love, wild life, for lust and ecstasy. Both are free spirits who go their own way, find each other and let go... just like the nature of love. These two candles are therefore available as a couple; they represent the feminine and masculine energy. These are the perfect companions for Beltane and other fertility festivals, for love rituals that don't want to hold on, but rather touch the essence of love :)

Pan, the hermaphroditic being of human and animal - with a human chest and goat's legs - comes from Greek mythology. He is the god of the forest and wild nature, often depicted as the horned god. A shepherd god in Greek myths, a wild, earthy and ecstatic god, also counted among the retinue of Dionysus, he represents the unbridled human instincts that tickle us from wild nature :)

Freya is a Norse goddess of fertility and spring, a goddess of lust and love, a teacher of magic. She is also referred to as a warrior goddess - as she receives the souls of those who died in battle in her hall, Folkvangr. She is strong and independent, uses magic and yet never resorts to violence to achieve her goals - so it is written in the old stories. She too is a free spirit without a fixed companion, yet with much love and maternal energy in her heart.

Candles work with the element of fire; never leave them burning unattended and only use fireproof bases for them. For the first burn, it is best to let the candle burn until the top wax pool has melted all the way to the edge. If the candle ever smokes, it is advisable to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the top, leaving at least 8 mm).
