Rapeseed wax is a high-quality vegetable wax from Europe – a sustainable alternative to paraffin (wax from mineral oil). It is extracted from the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows throughout Europe. To improve its melting properties, it is blended with a small proportion of special chemical waxes – completely paraffin-free. We use it daily in our own candle factory and are thrilled with the results!
The rapeseed wax is available in practical pastille form – easy to dose, clean to work with, and plastic-free, packaged in a sturdy paper bag. Available in three quantities: 500 g, 1 kg, and 2 kg.
Possible applications:
- Pouring freestanding candles – rapeseed wax is ideal for poured pillar and shaped candles
- Making scented candles – optimal carrier for fragrance oils, simply perfume as desired
- Coloring – can be colored with candle dyes in any desired shade
- Recycling candle remnants – break remnant wax into pieces approx. 5–10 mm, fill into a mold, wick, and top up with rapeseed wax
Processing note: The optimal processing temperature is approx. 70 °C.
