The Sri Yantra originates from the Vedic culture of Hinduism and is one of the powerful symbols of Sacred Geometry. It consists of nine interlocking triangles representing the masculine (Shiva) and feminine (Shakti) energies, with a central point (Bindu) – the origin, beginning, and end of all existence. Sri stands for Lakshmi, for Devi – aspects of the divine mother in Hinduism. The Sri Yantra is considered a temple of Devi and conceals within it a spiritual journey from micro to macrocosm, from outer to inner – a powerful tool to fill one's mind with peace and contentment.
A Yantra is a symbol of the Divine, a ritual geometric representation of a Mantra (a ritual invocation in the form of sounds from the Sanskrit language). The various geometric shapes it contains each have their own spiritual correspondences. It serves as an aid in meditation and prayer, for example, instead of iconic images. Yantras are said to have a strengthening energy; they are also referred to as "motors." These spiritual symbols are worn as amulets, placed as energy images on the home altar, or ritually drawn in front of doors on festive days.
