This thick pillar candle is handmade from pure rapeseed wax. Rapeseed wax has similar burning properties to paraffin but is of plant origin, GMO-free, and produced in Germany. The candle is purely handcrafted. All candles are hand-poured in our factory - the Lichtbringer Company in Altmark. With a diameter of 6 cm, this pillar has good stability, for example, for a candle plate.

Our candles are hand-poured - minor deviations and irregularities are evidence of this and are a mark of quality :) The material occasionally has fine hairline cracks on the surface, which is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not affect the burning. Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows throughout Europe. To improve the melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is mixed with a small proportion of special chemical waxes - it does not contain paraffin. This proportion is so small that most rapeseed wax candle manufacturers do not even mention it.
Note: This candle is not suitable for plates with a mounting spike - as rapeseed wax is very brittle and can break when pierced. Our tip: remove the candle spike from the candle holder, the candle has good stability even without it.
Candles work with the element of fire, never leave them burning unattended and only use fireproof bases for them. For the first burn, it is best to let the candle burn until the entire top wax pool has melted to the edge. If the candle smokes, it is recommended to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the top end, leaving at least 8 mm).
