The candles have optical defects such as slight discoloration from previous color pours, a rough surface, small holes and cracks, fine inclusions, chipped edges. They burn wonderfully, they are just not as visually perfect as the first choice candles. Please note, the photos shown are photos of candles without optical defects! These thick pillar candles are handmade from pure rapeseed wax. Rapeseed wax has a similar burning behavior to paraffin, but is of plant origin, GMO-free and produced in Germany. The candles are purely handcrafted. All candles are hand-poured in our manufactory - the Lichtbringer Company in Altmark. With a diameter of approx. 6 cm, the pillars have good stability, for example for a candle plate.

Our candles are hand-poured - minor deviations and irregularities are evidence of this and are a sign of quality :) The material occasionally has fine hairline cracks on the surface, which is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not impair burning. Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows throughout Europe. To improve the melting properties, a small proportion of chemical special waxes is added to the hardened rapeseed oil - it contains no paraffin. This proportion is so small that most rapeseed wax candle manufacturers do not even mention it.
Candles work with the element of fire; never leave them burning unattended and always use fireproof bases. For initial burning, it is best to let the candle burn until the top wax pool has melted to the edge. If the candle ever smokes, it is advisable to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the top end, leaving at least 8 mm).
