Tealights are THE everyday candles nowadays and can certainly be found in almost every household. It is all the more important to ensure that these tealights are sustainable. To avoid waste, they are made without an aluminum casing - instead, they come with a constantly reusable tealight glass. And as an alternative to conventional paraffin made from petroleum, various natural waxes are available.

We craft our beeswax tealights by hand in our candle manufactory. We use only beeswax from German beekeeping circuits, for the well-being of bees and to support beekeeping as a traditional craft. To properly fix the wick, our tealights have a small aluminum base - unfortunately, this cannot be avoided if the little light is not to drown prematurely. Our tealights are hand-poured - minor variations and imperfections bear witness to this and are a mark of quality :)

  • Handmade from 100% pure beeswax
  • Beeswax from beekeeping circuits
  • Resource-friendly thanks to reusable tealight glasses
  • Dimensions for one tealight: diameter 3.5 cm, height approx. 1.5 cm - suitable for standard tealight holders.
  • Natural wax
  • Made in Germany - the tealights and also the glasses :)

Regarding the use of beeswax tealights: Due to the viscous nature of beeswax, these burn hotter than conventional tealights. Caution is therefore advised when using them in classic tealight warmers with a small distance, as this could cause sooting. Likewise, these little lights should not be used in very small lanterns, ceramic light objects, etc. They need a little more oxygen to burn :)

We use our little tealights in our tall incense burners with a minimum distance of 8 cm and are very satisfied. Also in larger lanterns and upward-opening light glasses. Incidentally, you can also recycle the aluminum casings of commercially available tealights and insert our beeswax tealights; they then fit wonderfully into any standard tealight holder.

About beeswax:

Beeswax is a natural metabolic product of bees, which they use to build their combs. Beeswax candles are therefore a natural product that should be used consciously and carefully. Pay attention to the origin of the wax; this is the best way to support the cycle. If you value beekeeper wax that doesn't come from just anywhere, then buy from us :)

A fine, whitish layer on our beeswax candles is a sign of quality and no reason for complaint. The coating develops due to long storage and storage in cool rooms and is a sign that you are holding pure beeswax in your hands. If the candles warm up (in cozy homes :), the coating will disappear on its own. It can also be removed by gently rubbing with a fine cloth.

Candles work with the element of fire; never leave them burning unattended and only use fireproof bases. For the initial burn, it is best to let the candle burn until the top wax pool has melted to the edge. If the candle ever produces soot, it is advisable to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the top, leaving at least 8 mm).

Kerzen
