Tealights are the everyday candles nowadays and can be found in almost every household. That's why it's even more important that these tealights are sustainable! To avoid waste, they come without an aluminum casing - instead, they have a continuously reusable glass tealight insert. And as an alternative to conventional petroleum paraffin, we produce our tealights from rapeseed wax - a renewable plant-based wax. Vegan and environmentally friendly!
We craft our rapeseed wax tealights by hand in our candle manufactory. Rapeseed candles are a wonderful alternative to conventional paraffin candles. The wax from the rapeseed plant has similar burning properties to paraffin but is plant-based, GMO-free, and produced in Europe.
- Handmade from pure rapeseed wax - GMO-free - environmentally friendly
- Rapeseed wax from Europe
- Resource-saving thanks to reusable tealight glasses
- Dimensions for one tealight: Diameter 3.5 cm, Height approx. 1.5 cm - suitable for standard tealight holders.
- Plant wax - vegan & sustainable
- Made in Germany - the tealights and also the glasses :)
To properly fix the wick, our tealights have a small aluminum base - which unfortunately cannot be avoided if the little flame is not to drown prematurely. Our tealights are hand-poured - minor deviations and irregularities are a testament to this and are a mark of quality :)
Regarding the use of rapeseed wax tealights: Due to the viscous nature of natural waxes, these burn somewhat hotter than commercially available tealights. Therefore, they are not suitable for low tealight warmers to heat teapots - as they blacken significantly due to the low distance.
However, rapeseed tealights are very well suited for our incense burners! For this, it's best to choose an incense burner with a slightly higher clearance. We use our little tealights in our incense burners with about 8 cm clearance and are very satisfied. Also in larger lanterns and open-top glass luminaries.
By the way, you can also recycle the aluminum casings of standard tealights and use our rapeseed wax tealights, then they will fit perfectly into any standard tealight holder.
