The best frankincense in the world grows in Oman - something the Egyptian Queen Hatshepsut already knew, but she failed to relocate the gnarled frankincense trees back then. OMAN FRANKINCENSE is probably one of the most famous frankincense varieties in this country. In its homeland, it is traded in four qualities - these depend on the harvest time; the later, the finer. We offer classic Al Hojari frankincense with a light yellow to whitish color and grains of approx. 3 to 10 mm in size. Its scent varies from a delicate fresh note to the "classic" heavy, resinous frankincense aroma. It has such a distinctive scent that it is wonderful for single fumigations and almost too good to mix.
Oman frankincense is pure OLIBANUM, the resin of the true frankincense tree Boswellia Sacra - the most important incense in antiquity, still highly valued today. Its scent clears the mind and frees the head, helps build mental bridges and, it is said, "allows one to recognize God." For cleansing and strengthening the soul.
