The Swiss pine is an ancient tree of power from local tradition. It grows predominantly in the Alps and Carpathians at high altitudes and can live to be very old. For centuries, people have used the wood and oil of the Swiss pine for building, carving, and in sleep-promoting pine pillows. As furniture wood, it is used in so-called pine parlors - they stand for a healthy indoor climate and are said to shield electromagnetic radiation. The scent does not age - a pine parlor still smells aromatically spicy even after more than half a century!
