Depictions of gods, beings with wreaths of leaves, can be found in all ancient pagan cultures and have also made their way into Christian churches. In ancient myths, the tree spirit is considered the lord of the forests, the guardian of nature. He knows her laws, he knows the rhythm of birth and death and their return, the eternal cycle of life – wild, primeval life.
As the beloved of the Earth Mother, as the companion of the Goddess, he embodies the masculine principle, standing for protection and deep knowledge (magic!), but also for growth and fertility in the cycle of life. In ancient Celtic depictions, you will also find him as Cernunnos with deer antlers, in a meditative posture. With counterparts in all cultures, whether they are called Shiva, Osiris, Dionysus – reawakened in fantasy literature as Ents...

- Everything handcrafted - even the color! The delivered candle statue may differ slightly in color from our example images. This is partly due to the varying color reproduction of different monitors, and partly because we still mix our colors by hand and by feel to ensure they shine beautifully :)

About Rapeseed Wax:
Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows throughout Europe. This vegetable wax has similar burning properties to paraffin, but is plant-based (vegan), GMO-free, and produced in Germany. Our candles are hand-poured – minor variations and irregularities are evidence of this and are a mark of quality :) The material occasionally exhibits fine hairline cracks on the surface; this is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not affect the burning. To improve the melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is mixed with a small proportion of special chemical waxes – no paraffin is included. This proportion is so small that most rapeseed wax candle manufacturers don't even mention it.
