Special offer directly from our workshop: Here you can purchase a pack of 10 second-choice rapeseed wax taper candles at a reduced price - now also in assorted colors :). They burn wonderfully; they just aren't as visually perfect as the first-choice candles.
The candles have optical imperfections such as a rough surface, small holes and cracks, fine inclusions of differently colored wax, or interesting color variations from our experimental batch. The set of 10 is a surprise package - the colors included depend on availability.
These taper candles are handmade from pure rapeseed wax. We are pleased to offer you these dinner candles made from pure vegetable wax as an alternative to paraffin. Rapeseed wax has similar burning properties to paraffin, but is of plant origin, GMO-free, and produced in Germany.

Our candles are hand-poured - minor deviations and irregularities are evidence of this and are a sign of quality :) The material itself occasionally has fine hairline cracks in the surface; this is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not impair burning. Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows all over Europe. To improve the melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is blended with a small proportion of special chemical waxes - it contains no paraffin. This proportion is so small that most rapeseed wax candle manufacturers do not even mention it.
Candles work with the element of fire; never leave them burning unattended and only use fireproof bases. For the first burn, it is best to let the candle burn until the entire top wax pool has melted to the edge. If the candle ever smokes, it is recommended to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the top end, leaving at least 8 mm).
