Copal resins - these are the best-known incense resins from Central and South America - are distinguished into three types: white copal - Copal blanco, golden copal - Copal oro - and black copal - Copal negro. They are collected from various trees of the Bursera plant family (balm tree) and from the true copal tree, Protium Copal. All are said to have a strong cleansing effect. The various copal resins are considered so sacred by the indigenous peoples of Central America that their significance is comparable to that of frankincense in Arabia. As "food for the gods," their smoke accompanies every ritual.

And it should be noted: We offer our resins, woods, and herbs exclusively for burning, and all our good advice is taken from traditional lore and our own experiences. These, of course, do not replace a qualified advisor (doctor, naturopath, ...).
