This is a beautiful, archaic incense bowl, which has been in use since ancient times. The Paua shell from the depths of the sea shimmers with a soft mother-of-pearl sheen. This rainbow abalone is actually a sea snail. It is excellently suited for smudging with herbal bundles, White Sage, Palo Santo. The shell can catch ash and any falling plant parts while walking around and smudging. Don't forget to fill the shell with sand when smudging with charcoal.
