This thick pillar candle is handcrafted from pure rapeseed wax. Rapeseed wax has similar burning properties to paraffin, but is plant-based, GMO-free, and produced in Germany. The candle is purely handcrafted. All candles are hand-poured in our manufactory - the Lichtbringer Company in Altmark. With a diameter of 5.8 cm, this pillar candle has good stability, for example, for a candle plate.

Our candles are hand-poured - minor deviations and irregularities are evidence of this and are a sign of quality :) Fine hairline cracks in the surface are inherent to the material; this is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not affect burning. Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows all over Europe. To improve the melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is mixed with a small proportion of special chemical waxes - it contains no paraffin. This proportion is so small that most rapeseed wax candle manufacturers don't even mention it.
Note: This candle is not suitable for plates with a fixing spike - as rapeseed wax is very brittle and can break when pierced. Our tip: remove the candle spike from the candle holder; the candle has good stability even without it.
Candles work with the element of fire; never leave them burning unattended and only use fireproof bases for them. For the first burn, it is best to let the candle burn until the entire wax pool has melted to the edge. If the candle ever smokes, it is recommended to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the top end, leaving at least 8 mm).
