STYRAX BARK is the bark of the true styrax tree (Styrax officinalis). Sweet and sensual, earthy and woody, the smoke has a relaxing and mood-lifting effect. The bark is distinctly woodier and not as sweet as styrax oil on charcoal – which, although traded under the name styrax, is actually the balsam of the Oriental Sweetgum (Styrax, see Resins).
The tart character of the styrax tree clearly emerges with a sensual, vanilla-like aftertaste. This is balm for the soul, a true incense treasure! For mixtures based on historical recipes where styrax is required, styrax bark is highly recommended.

We source these from selected specialist incense retailers and other trusted colleagues, and herbs from specialist suppliers of natural raw materials (just like our foodstuffs). For us, burning incense is pure plant helper power! That's why we invest a lot of time in researching the sources of our raw materials to be able to offer them as sustainably as possible.
And it should be noted: We offer our resins, woods, and herbs exclusively for burning, and all our good advice is taken from traditional lore and our own experiences. These, of course, do not replace a qualified advisor (doctor, naturopath, ...).
