The triskele originates from Celtic mythology and symbolizes the cycle of life: becoming - being - passing away. It also represents the sacred number three, which serves as the spiritual basis of religions in many cultures. A candle for beginnings and transitions, for the constant change of life.
We handcraft this special ritual candle in our Lichtbringer manufactory. The candle medallion is made of natural wax and is decorated with a triskele on both sides of the candle. The candle made of natural white rapeseed wax is perfectly suitable for painting with commercially available candle paints.

About beeswax:
Beeswax is a natural metabolic product of bees, which they use to build honeycomb. We only use beeswax from German beekeeping cycles, for the welfare of bees and to support beekeeping as a traditional craft. A 100% pure natural wax without additives. A fine, whitish layer on our beeswax candles is a sign of quality and not a reason for complaint. The coating is caused by storage in cool rooms and is a sign that you are holding pure beeswax. If the candles warm up (in cozy homes :), the coating disappears by itself. It can also be removed by gently rubbing with a fine cloth.
About rapeseed wax:
Rapeseed wax is the hardened oil of the rapeseed plant, which grows all over Europe. The vegetable wax has a similar burning behavior to paraffin, but is of vegetable origin (vegan), GMO-free and is produced in Germany. Our candles are hand-poured - minor deviations and irregularities are evidence of this and are a sign of quality :) The material occasionally has fine hairline cracks on the surface, this is due to the relatively hard nature of the wax and does not harm the burning. To improve the melting properties, the hardened rapeseed oil is mixed with a small proportion of chemical special waxes - it does not contain paraffin. This proportion is so small that most rapeseed wax candle manufacturers don't even mention it.
Candles work with the element of fire, never leave them burning unattended and only use fireproof bases for them. For the initial burn, it is best to let the candle burn until the upper wax pool has melted to the edge. If the candle ever smokes, it is recommended to trim the wick before lighting (carefully cut off the top end, leaving at least 8 mm).
