Herbs and woods
Incense burning with herbs is not entirely easy - but it is incredibly fragrant when you do it with gentle heat, preferably on an incense burner. This way, the incense herbs release their essential fragrances particularly delicately and clearly. For thousands of years, their healing smoke has been used as incense - for purification, to accompany rituals, and for special moments of peace and mindfulness.
Herbs and woods from native nature have always been in daily use, be it in the kitchen, as medicinal plants or in the art of incense burning. Our ancestors knew about the special power of plants - they were used since ancient times for smoking, in rituals and ceremonies, and also for cleaning and disinfecting house and yard. This knowledge has been preserved to this day and is once again gaining popularity, for example during the "Rauhnächte" (Rough Nights). Many of our herbs come from native nature and are in the tradition of European incense plants.
All kinds of wood have been burned in fires since time immemorial – it stands to reason that our ancestors back then caught the aromatic scent of smoldering wood. Such as the scent of sacred juniper, which has also been used as incense wood in this country since time immemorial. Over time, simple firewood became valuable incense wood. Man and plant connected in wordless communication – carried by the spicy, earthy scent of smoke.
